What is Zip Money?
With more than 800,000 users, Zip Money will change the way you shop. It's a reusable account that lets you shop online and instore up to your account limit. Simply set your own flexible repayments to suit your lifestyle. There's no deposit and every purchase even comes with its own interest free period.
How does Zip Money work?
Once you've applied for your account, you'll receive an answer in minutes. When you're approved, you can start shopping!
How do repayments work?
Starting from just $40 a month, repayments are based on your account's credit limit. You can pay whatever you like on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis (as long as you meet the monthly minimum for your account). Pretty great!
Every Zip Money purchase comes with an interest free period. Pay off your purchase within this period and, yup, you'll pay no interest. Make additional payments whenever you like, with no penalties for paying off your purchase early. When there's nothing owing on your account, you pay... zip! That's zero fees, zero interest. Your account simply remains active until you're ready to make a purchase.
Am I eligible for Zip Money?
To be eligible to apply for a Zip Money account, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Employed in some capacity, earning more than $300 per week.
- Have not declared bankruptcy or insolvency.
Are there any fees and interest?
Every Zip Money purchase comes with a minimum of 3-month interest free period. Here at ABC, we offer up to 6 months. After the interest free period, a standard interest rate of 19.9% p.a. applies. There may be a one-off set-up fee depending on your account limit, which Zip will add to your balance so there's nothing to pay upfront. There's a $6.00 monthly account fee, which is waived if your closing balance is paid by the due date. So, no balance, no fee!
Is Zip Money safe?
Zip Money has a dedicated Fraud and Security team who are committed to ensuring the security of your account. Additionally, Zip have a Buyer Protection Policy in place which applies to purchases or ZIP Transactions made using ZIP Line of Credit facilities (Zip Money and Zip Pay).
